A good turnout considering the weather.  Apologies for only recoding the last half of the meeting.  That did include a great demo by Frank on AK Weathering Pencils.

Show Report:

Bill Dawson announced the Sept 23, 2023 tentative date for the show, subject to being able to book it at Carlingview Heights.  Bookings only open in April.

Looking for ideas for a plan B location.  Anyone with suggestions, please advise.

Need to update the show website and club site. 

Looking for ways to connect with sponsors and sign them up/promote the show.

Start thinking about themes.

Contacting IPMS Hamilton for advice, lists, table risers, etc.

Looking for ways to try electronic registration.

Want a volunteer for chief judge –

Should we have presentations, eg Air Cadets?  Would Greg be interested, and would Cadets be willing to serve as runners/volunteers?

Steve Marshall – consider having something other than just vendors available for attendees during the judging process.

On the Tables:

Frank Donati – Trumpeter T24 from IPMS Ottawa weekend build.
Mike Hill – Covid build 1/72 Fairey delta experimental aircraft and Hawker Typhoon.
Johnny Yu – DF17 missile from the same weekend build.  Lots of sanding.  Gundam tiny robot as well.  Also 1/700 Gneissnau battleship.
George Wray – Airfix 1/72 Wellington Mk VIIIin coastal command.  Discussed using heat to tighten wires.
Peter Fay – super X2 and maser beam tank from Godzilla.
Bill Webb – 1969 Revell Super Bee
Duncan Macintosh – Wingsy (Ukraine) 1/48 Me109 OOB.
Dave Durette – Moebius Seaview 2022 year build.

Short discussion of the Wingnuts Wings kits coming to market.
Scale Model World at Telford was held last weekend.
