Eduard 1/48 Crusader Limited Edition

Post by GGionet » Sat Jan 20, 2018 4:50 pm

Here goes my attempt at actually completing a year build. The kit is the Eduard 1/48 Limited Edition Crusader. I have also purchased the Brassin Air Intakes Set and Brassin Exhaust Nozzle Set.

Here is the kit and the after market.

OK let's get started. First piece cut off sprue ready to be worked.

Image

Need to sand of cockpit details to get ready for photo etch.

Image

OK sanding finished but got a little carried away and removed detail at bottom of the instrument panel. That was supposed to be left on.

Image

Intake has several ejector pin marks that will need to be filled and sanded.

Also found many ejector pin marks in the front wheel bay. Took the quick method and applied drops of CA into the indentations.

Cockpit has a few pieces of photo etch added and then painted.

Next update. Sanded and painted the intakes. Only need to put them together.

Image

Engine nozzle sticks out of body. This is not correct so will have to make modifications.

Image

Ground off as much as possible. Not perfect but will work.

Image

Image

Also had to remove edge of cockpit opening. Mark and then sand.

Image

You also have to remove bumps on tail if you are doing version A, B, C or E. If your doing version D then leave it.

That is it for this update.

Looks good Gerry! You or Stu will have to give me a refresher on how to do photos, and add little arrows!
