Fun with Camouflage
Larry Watson was the guest presenter at our October meeting. Larry provided some background on camouflage patterns used on modern aircraft. He fired up his airbrush and worked some magic on the beautiful new Tamiya F-14D Tomcat. He applied the appropriate shades of gray and added highlights/lowlights to simulate realistic wear. Check out the video for lots of great hints and tips. (Thanks go to Stuart Clark for taking the video.)
We last ordered t-shirts in 2015. Geoff Heyland is gathering information for a new order (one free shirt per member). He’s asking anyone who was not at the October meeting to drop him a line at firstname.lastname@example.org with their shirt size. Golf shirts are also available. Let Geoff know if you are interested. (If you are not a current member, you can pay your 2019 fee early and get a free t-shirt. Again, contact Geoff for details.)
There were a wide variety of interesting subjects on the Show and Tell tables this month as you’ll see in the photos.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21st, from 7 to 9 pm, at Beacock Public Library, 1280 Huron St., London, Ontario, N5Y4M2. Parking is available at the branch. Overflow parking is available at the Salvation Army next door. (Map)
