Jerry was fortunate enough to get a personal tour of the privately-owned MiG-17 which performed at the London Air Show last
year. A selection of his photos are included here, which should prove of use to modelers detailing Trumpeter's 1/32 MiG-17
kit.

The MiG-17's instrument panel. With the exception of the digital radio put in place of the gunsight and the Western instruments,
the cockpit appears to be pretty standard. In particular, note the cockpit lights on either side of the instrument panel,
and the various coloured switches and knobs along the consoles.

The left side of the cockpit, showing the oxygen regulator to the left, the throttle in the center of the picture, and the
red ejection seat actuating handle at the bottom.

The right side of the cockpit, showing details of the canopy sill and the ejection seat.

A shot of the nose gear, also showing the barrel fairings for the two 23 mm guns mounted on the left side of the nose.

An unusual shot up into the MiG-17's nose gear well.

The MiG-17's starboard main landing gear, showing the gear doors and the brake lines on the gear strut, among other things.

Details of the drop tank's fittings are revealed here.

The rear end of the MiG, showing details of the airbrake fairings and the afterburner.
